I believe the Holy Scriptures
teach the following:
I believe in one true, almighty,
eternal God. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit,
Who are One.
I believe that God is the Creator
and Lord of all things.
I believe that the Holy Bible
is the divinely inspired Word of God. It is without error in all
its teaching, including creation, history, in its own origins and
I believe everything the Bible teaches about every Christian doctrine.
I believe that salvation from
humanity's sin and depravity requires forgiveness from God. This
forgiveness results in the New Birth. Forgiveness and being born
again are, and can only be, attained through faith in Jesus Christ, God's
Son, and in His efficacious death on the cross of Calvary and His resurrection
from the dead. Without being born again, no one can see, or enter
the Kingdom of God.
I believe that all believers
are called upon to live a holy and righteous life in harmony with the teachings
of the Holy Bible, submitting to those in authority (both spiritual and
civil) over them.
I believe that all believers
should be baptized in water, confirming their faith and obeying the command
of the Lord.
I believe that every believer
should experience the Infilling of the Holy Spirit with the speaking in
tongues. Every believer should receive Gifts of the Spirit as the
Spirit of God wills, and these Gifts of the Spirit are given by the laying
on of hands of the presbytery, thus enabling the believer to enter into
a Spiritual ministry. (1 Corinthians 12:8-10) This Infilling
and this Gift will empower the Christian to live a fruitful and godly life,
full of good works (i.e. caring for the widow and the fatherless in their
affliction, zealous in the witness of the gospel to every creature, and
the fulfillment of the Christian's own personal ministry as a member of
the one holy, universal Church, which is the Body of Christ).
I believe that there is a life
hereafter: heaven for the righteous, hell for the wicked and rebellious.
God Himself is the only One Who makes this judgment.
I believe in the ever-unfolding
revelation of Jesus Christ, His salvation, and His coming Kingdom.
I believe that Jesus Christ will,
in God's appointed time, return to the earth to raise the dead, judge and
rule over the nations with His Church, the Body of Christ, in His everlasting
I believe that God's Spirit, is presently moving in the universal
Church, for the coming together of the Body of Christ and the establishment
of His coming Kingdom as described in Genesis 49:10, John 17:21 and other
I believe the Bible's message
of life and fulfillment, and I believe that God has determined that He
will bring us to the fullness of the life He has for us and to the measure
of the stature of the fullness of Christ and that He will accomplish this
through His Church, which is His Temple that is built according to His
I believe that the Bible lays
out a pattern for the structure and government of the Church.
I believe in the five apostolic
ministries of Ephesians 4:11. I believe they are given to the Church
until the Church comes in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of
the Son of God, unto a perfect (totally complete) man, unto the measure
of the stature of the fullness of Christ just as Scripture states.
I believe in the pattern for the role of apostles in receiving revelation
as it is shown in Scripture. I believe in the pattern of unity
in the headship which the Bible teaches as opposed to the establishment
of independent entities.
I believe in local congregations
overseen by elders and deacons as shown in Titus 1:5 and other scriptures.
I believe that every member has
and is a ministry in the body of Christ as described in 1 Corinthians 12:11
and other scriptures.
I believe in being led by the
Spirit of God as described in Roman 8:14 and other scriptures.
I believe that the Bible defines
every aspect of the functioning of the pattern for the weekly church service,
the government of the Church, how revelation is received and kept pure,
how the Scripture is to be interpreted, and many other details of the pattern
of the Church that is God's Temple in this hour. I believe that we
are commanded in Scripture: "See that you build all things according to
I believe that the Bible does not encourage speculative rationalization, reasoning based on unfounded assumptions and presuppositions and leveraged logic that try to expand knowledge beyond the revelation in the Word.
